I wanted to wish a happy father’s day to every dad out there. This is photo of my dad and me is one of my favorites. I’m not sure if my dad is sleeping too or if he just blinked, but for some reason I love it. I remember how safe it felt to fall asleep on his lap hearing his voice through his chest, sounding hollow. My dad has always been one of my biggest fans, and I one of his. I’m not sure anyone can get any luckier than that.
(And in case you’re wondering, I’m not sure if my mom intended my shirt to match the couch.)
